Answering the Call: Connor McMichael Scores First Goal Since Being Loaned to the Hershey Bears

AHLTv

After sitting on the sidelines at the NHL level for a large majority of start of the 2022-23 season, the Washington Capitals loaned former first-round pick Connor McMichael to the American Hockey League’s Hershey Bears to provide him with regular playing time and a chance to contribute.

On Wednesday night, McMichael scored his first goal since being loaned to the Bears, tying the Springfield Thunderbirds late in the second period of the contest.

In 2020-21, McMichae led Hershey in scoring, recording 14 goals and 27 Points in 33 Games Played in his first substantial taste of professional hockey due to the coronavirus pandemic. In six games played at the NHL level this season, McMichael has no points.
