Capitals Open Bidding For 2022 Capitals Hockey Fights Cancer Auction


The Washington Capitals officially opened bidding for their 2022 Hockey Fights Cancer Auction on Saturday afternoon. Items up for bid can be found on the team’s Handbid site (here).

The auction includes player-signed Hockey Fights Cancer jerseys that will be worn by the team for warmups tonight prior to the Capitals game against the Colorado Avalanche.

Proceeds from the auction will benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Mid-Atlantic Region, Make-A-Wish Mid-Atlantic, Pancreatic Cancer Action Network and Monumental Sports & Entertainment Foundation. The Auction will close on Monday, November 28, 2022, at 3 p.m. EST.

The Capitals will host a Hockey Fights Cancer Awareness Game on Saturday versus the Colorado Avalanche. One of the highlights of the evening will include the CapsFightCancer Starting Lineup, which will feature six children who are currently battling cancer or who are in remission and will be announced as members of the team’s starting lineup.
