Preview: Capitals Entertain Edmonton On Monday Night

The Washington Capitals host the Edmonton Oilers for the first of two meetings between the teams this season on Monday night. Edmonton swept the season series in 2021-22, including a 5-3 victory in Washington on February 2. Action from Capital One Arena can be seen on NBC Sports Washington in-market or ESPN+ out-of-market beginning at 8 PM ET.

SCHEDULE

Edmonton begins a four-game Eastern Conference road trip and a set of back-to-backs with the Tampa Bay Lightning awaiting them for a Tuesday night tilt.

Washington continues a season-long four-game homestand after opening it with a 3-2 loss to the Arizona Coyotes on Saturday.

    Wow! LuJo stepping in on first pair with TVR. I like that. Let’s see what we have here. Also, like Gus being on the third pairing. I know he brings offense, but I don’t love his overall game. He is a 6th/7th dee.

    Also love brining back Protas-Eller-Mantha. I like that line and it was driving good play when together for 2-3 games.
