After making history last night against the Arizona Coyotes in the Washington Capitals’ 3-2 loss at Capital One Arena, Alex Ovechkin concluded Sunday’s practice enjoying some one-on-one time with oldest son Sergei.
Ovechkin passed NHL great Gordie Howe as the NHL’s all-time leader in Goals Scored with one franchise, a moment that resulted in a raucous reaction from the Capitals faithful at Capital One Arena.

After Sunday’s practice at MedStar Capitals Iceplex, Ovechkin was joined on-ice by his oldest son Sergei (4), aka “Ovi Jr.”, who appears to have mastered his skating skills, complete with his father’s signature yellow laces.
