Beck Malenstyn Injured Blocking Shot, Will Not Return

The Capitals announced during the first intermission of Tuesday night’s game against Vegas Knights that forward Beck Malenstyn will not return to the game. Malenstyn was injured blocking a shot in the first period.

Malenstyn skated five shifts for a total of 3:42 of time on ice before the injury occurred.

The Capitals recalled Malenstyn on October 19. The move came after right-wing Connor Brown sustained a lower-body injury in the team’s 6-4 win over the Vancouver Canucks the previous night.

The Capitals next play Thursday night when they visit the Red Wings in Detroit. Puck drop is set for 7:30PM.

Dang that was so close to being hit in the family jewels. Hope for a quick recovery. If he cant play wonder if the HC will play both CMM and Snively or call someone up from Hershey?
