The Hershey Bears fell to the Hartford Wolf Pack, 4-2, Friday night at the XL Center in Hartford, Connecticut. Defenseman Alex Alexeyev made his regular season debut, forward Henrik Rybinski made his AHL debut, Lucas Johansen scored his first goal of the season and Hendrix Lapierre recorded his 3rd AHL point in the loss. The Bears record drops to 2-2-1-0 on the season.
LINEUP
Zach Fucale got the start in goal for the Bears. Louis Domingue got the start between the pipes for the Wolf Pack. The forward lines and defensive pairs for the Bears:

The Bears had a good opportunity late in the first frame when Hendrix Lapierre entered the zone, dished a cross-ice feed to Alex Alexeyev who returned the puck to Lapierre for the chance.

The Wolf Pack added a late tally from Tim Gettinger (1) at 17:37. Brandon Scanlin (1) had the lone assist.

The period concluded with the Wolf Pack leading 2-0. Hartford led in shots 12-6 in the first frame. Both teams were 0 for 1 on the power play.
SECOND PERIOD
The Wollf Pack extended their lead to 3-0 on a 4-on-4 goal from Jonny Brodzinski (1) at 6:30 of the middle frame. Ty Emberson (1) and Will Cuylle (2) had the helpers.

The Bears finally dented the twine with a power play goal from Ethan Frank (1) at 14:05 of the second period, making it 3-1. Henrik Borgstrom (1) and Hendrix Lapierre (2) had the helpers.

THIRD PERIOD
The Wolf Pack stretched their lead to 4-1 following a Bears turnover inside the blueline. Bobby Trivigno (1) picked the pocket of Garrett Pilon and went the length of the ice for the score.

Hard to figure this team out. So much talent.
I would generally agree, difficult to put your finger on the primary issues in the last 3 games or so. Some sloppy play, which is to be expected in the first few games. Other than that, they’ve had relatively decent goaltending.
Great to see Alexyev out there. Just watching the videos from above he had a couple of passes that were off a bit but still worked. Hope he can quickly get going and contribute.
Hear! Hear! Great to see him back. It’s getting to be time to see Alexeev in a caps uni. I’ve high hopes for Alexeev since we drafted him. It’s a lot to ask of a late 1st rounder but he progressed nicely after we drafted him. Had some injuries. Seems like a great kid.
It’s now or never for Alexeyev.
