Capitals Release Roster For Final Preseason Game, T.J. Oshie And Dmitry Orlov Out


The Capitals have released the roster for their final preseason game Saturday night against the Blue Jackets at Capital One Arena. Puck drop is set for 7PM. T.J. Oshie (upper body) and Dmitry a Orlov (lower body) will not play tonight.

CAPITALS ROSTER

Forwards: Alex Ovechkin, Henrik Borgstrom, Dylan Strome, Lars Eller, Garnet Hathaway, Connor McMichael, Nic Dowd, Connor Brown, Anthony Mantha, Aliaksei Protas, Conor Sheary, Marcus Johansson, Joe Snively and Evgeny Kuznetsov.

Defensemen: Nick Jensen, Martin Fehervary, Lucas Johansen, Matt Irwin, Erik Gustafssson, Trevor van Riemsdyk and John Carlson.

Goaltenders: Darcy Kuemper, Charlie Lindgren


The team held an optional skate this morning. Both T.J. Oshie and Dmitry Orlov did skate this morning. Both we’re donning non-contact jerseys.

Lars Eller, who missed practice on Friday due to illness, also skated with Oshie and Orlov and ultimately be a scratch tonight.

    No AJF. They are hiding him to slip through or trading him.

    Eller sick so CMM will be 3C.

    Will be interesting if they play Mantha or more likely Brown as 1RW.

      I would prefer Brown at 1RW as I think he is more aggressive and keeps his head in the game. Mantha mentally takes off to many shifts to be a true 1RW. If the 1st line with Brown is humming along when Wilson comes back does he go to the @nd line? Next season could be real interesting With Wilson, Protas, Mantha and if they resign Brown to who plays RW on which line. BUt really going to be interesting until either Brown or Mantha steps up and takes it this year.
