The Washington Capitals waived Hunter Shepard, Mike Sgarbossa, Riley Sutter and Mike Vecchione on Friday with the intention of re-assigning the players to Hershey. All players went unclaimed by the deadline on Saturday and will report to Hershey.

Hershey will announce its initial 2022 Training Camp roster on Sunday. The team takes the ice for the first time in the 2022-23 season on Monday morning at 10:30 a.m. at Giant Center.

Never liked R Suter or Clark…
Not surprised that Vecchione or Sgarbossa cleared and slightly surprised that Sutter did but didn’t think there would be much interest in him. I am very surprised and happy that Sherard cleared. is he going to Hershey or Stingrays? Don’t think he would get much playing time in Hershey.
