Capitals Announce Roster For 4th Preseason Game

The Washington Capitals announced their roster for the fourth preseason game on when they face the Blue Jackets in Columbus on Saturday. Puck drop is 7:00PM and will be streamed on the Capitals website.

Forwards: Henrik Borgstrom, Garnet Hathaway, Connor McMichael, Nic Dowd, Connor Brown, Hendrix Lapierre, Anthony Mantha, Garrett Pilon, Beck Malenstyn, Brett Leason, Aliaksei Protas, Conor Sheary, Marcus Johansson.

Defensemen: Dmitry Orlov, Gabriel Carlson, Dylan McIlrath, Vincent Iorio, Matt Irwin, Erik Gustafsson, Trevor van Riemsdyk

Goaltenders: Zach Fucale, Charlie Lindgren

The Capitals have two remaining preseason games, both at home next week. Capitals head coach Peter Laviolette told media this week “those last two games at home will be heavy-handed with our guys and prior to that, it’ll be mixed.”

    I’m a little surprised that Johanson nor Nardella got a jersey tonight since it is really the last “tryout” game of the preseason. But also need to see Gus again. Snarls needs a game. TVR needs another. I probably would have sat Carlsson in favor of Nardella.

    No surprise to see Protas in again. I think Snively has secured a spot.

      Coach gave them enough minutes to see where they are. He’s got enough data to make a final decision. Now the other D that are vying for the 6th and 7th spots have their chance to show what they can do in game.

    NO Stevenson again, is he going to see any playing time this preseason? Where will he be going…..Hershey or SC? Any word on Shepard clearing waivers?
