Lindgren To Suit Up In Capitals’ Second Preseason Game vs. Flyers

Goaltender Charlie Lindgren will suit up with the Washington Capitals for the first time in Wednesday’s preseason game at the Philadelphia Flyers (7 PM ET, NBC Sports Washington locally, NHL Network nationally) and Zach Fucale will back him up.

ROSTER

The Capitals roster for the first preseason game on Sunday consisted mainly of junior (CHL) hockey prospects, where game 2 tonight will primarily consist of prospects that will play in Hershey this season:

Forwards: Henrik Borgstrom, Dylan Strome, Garnet Hathaway, Connor Brown, Mike Vecchione, Axel Jonsson-Fjallby, Beck Malenstyn, Henrik Rybinski, Aliaksei Protas, Ludwig Persson, Kale Kessy, Marcus Johansson and Joe Snively.

Defensemen: Gabriel Carlsson, Dylan McIlrath, Lucas Johansen, Benton Maass, Matt Irwin, Trevor van Riemsdyk and Bobby Nardella.

Goaltenders: Zach Fucale and Charlie Lindgren

The Capitals will participate in their annual Caps Canine Calendar photoshoot on Tuesday. Injured right-wing Tom Wilson, center Nicklas Backstrom, and left-wing Carl Hagelin will participate. Hint: Left-wing Axel Jonsson-Fjallby, defenseman Lucas Johansen, center Hendrix Lapierre, and left-wing Joe Snively will also be taking part in the shoot.
