According to ESPN’s Kevin Weekes, the Edmonton Oilers, New York Rangers, and Washington Capitals are the top three teams on Chicago Blackhawks right-wing Patrick Kane desired trade destination list. He added that the 33-year-old would not accept a trade to the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Kane has one season at $10.5 million remaining on his contract. The Blackhawks will likely have to retain salary in any deal to send Kane out of town to go to any of the three cap-strapped teams.

The three-time Stanley Cup Champion tallied 66 assists (seventh in the NHL) and 92 points (14th) in 78 regular-season games last season.

In 1107 career regular-season games, Kane has notched 430 goals and 1180 points. He has added 52 goals and 132 points in 136 Stanley Cup Playoff games.

Capitals’ top-six right-wing Tom Wilson is expected to be out until December after undergoing a procedure to repair a torn ACL on May 25. The team acquired Connor Brown from the Ottawa Senators on July 13 but a player like Kane would give them a more proven scorer. However, it is unknown whether the team is interested in acquiring Kane.

Doing so could cost a first-round pick, multiple top prospects, and a young NHL player under contract beyond this season. The trade deadline is at 3 PM ET on Friday, March 3.

And we will toss in MoJo, Haglin and Fucale and either Pilon or Pino. But please NO picks!

Chicago wants Miroshnichenko, Lapierre, and a 2023 first round pick and the Hawks will retain 50% of the Cap Hit.

        • steven says:

No Lapierre and no picks. As for Ivan I dont see them getting rid of a young player like him for an aging 33 year old player who to be honest is not going to get this team a Cup this year. It would be nice to have him but not at that price for the teams future.

I can see the Caps going after another vet and giving up draft picks and prospects.

Wow! The Leafs don’t need you Kane so good luck wherever you land and whichever team wants to add a “has been” to their roster. Whichever team that is, I hope that you meet the Leafs in the playoffs and they sweep you an that team!

The Forsberg for Erat was the craziest trade ever. Erat was never good EVER Forsberg, well, he is amazing and was our top talent (with Kuzy, and I like Kuzy but Forsberg is way better). I never understood the pure stupidity of it.
