Vegas oddsmakers continue to release their odds for the 2022-23 NHL season, and next up are the odds for the Vezina Trophy. The Trophy is awarded to the NHL’s best goalie at the end of each regular-season, as voted on by the NHL general managers.
Washington Capitals starting goaltender Darcy Kuemper has the 10th best odds to take the award. It should be noted that former Capitals goaltender’s Vitek Vanecek (+10000) and Ilya Samsonov (+15000) are long shots.

Rangers netminder Igor Shesterkin is primed for a cooling-off this season, so if you want safe money, take Andrei Vasilevskiy at +500. Connor Hellebuyck is good money at +2000.
If you are looking for real long shot, consider Spencer Knight in Florida. The first round pick in 2019 finished the season on a hot streak and could take over for Bobrovsky during the season.

Rumors are that Tampa is concerned about Vasy’s workload and is determined to reduce it. He has been the top or near the top in regular games worked as well as 3 playoffs all the way to the finals. So Tampa is hoping that their backup can take more of the regular season load this year.
Vasy has been like Holts — when not used, he can get rusty. So it will be interesting to see how a lower workload works out.
I wouldn’t be shocked by that. I think that would even improve his Vezina
Chances.
As I said, in previous years he has been better when he is in a rhythm, a routine. When he has had the All Stars or more than a game break, he seems to get out of it. That’s my concern.
The book is out on Shesty. I expect him to drop 15 percentage points this season.
