The United States, or well, Minnesota to be more specific, has the Da Beauty League, where a number of NHL stars clock a little summer ice time playing in a loosely-formed and loosely played summer league. In Montreal, Quebec, there is the Living Sisu Hockey League (LSHL) 3-on-3 pro league.
The LSHL is a summer league for professional players, with a goal to provide a higher level of play for players preparing for the upcoming season. Notable players participating in the league include Kris Letang, Jonathan Huberdeau, Derrick Brassard, Nick Suzuki and many others. [Full player list and stats].
Washington Capitals forward Anthony Mantha, forward prospect Hendrix Lapierre and goaltender Zach Fucale have all taken part in the league this summer. Former Washington Capitals forward Daniel Sprong is also on Lapierre’s and Fucale’s team.
All games are played at Hockey Etcetera on Montreal.
As for the action, the pace of the game is much swifter than Da Beauty League, mostly due to the 3-on-3 nature of the league.
There is also a women’s league with the women’s league crowning a champion earlier on Tuesday evening.
The Capitals are expected to begin their 2022-23 training camp some time around the third week of September. It’s getting closer.

Regarding camp in September, is the beginning date known? I am just curious because other major pro sports the timeline of when camp begins, and ends is known and marketed.
Start date for camp has not been announced yet, but stay tuned. We’ll relay as soon as it is.
