Alex Ovechkin Participates in Dynamo Moscow’s Alumni Tournament

After a day spent celebrating the second birthday of his younger son, Ilya, Washington Capitals captain Alex Ovechkin participated in a hockey tournament with fellow alumni of his Dynamo Moscow hockey school on Saturday.

The players were divided up into their teams, based on their birth year. Thus, Ovechkin was on a team with other players born in 1985. The alumni competed for the Elephant Cup. Uniforms were made by Rossport Fabric. There is no record of which team won.

On Friday Ovechkin and his family celebrated youngest son Ilya’s second birthday in the suburbs of Moscow.
