According to Pat Donovan and Aaron Jacobson of the Pat and Aaron Show on 95.3 WDAE & AM 620 in Tampa, several Florida Panthers players were out partying at a strip club on Sunday night following a 5-1 loss in Game 3 of their second-round Stanley Cup Playoff series to the Tampa Bay Lightning at Amalie Arena on Sunday.
According to “a very good source, … a lot” of Panthers players were out late into the night. “Until at least 2:45. It could have been later, that’s when the source got the information.”
”The text at around 2:40 [AM] said something along the lines of ‘we just got a bottle and we’re leaving,’” the hosts continued on the radio show.

This is despite the fact that Game 4 of the series is slated for Monday (7 PM ET, TNT) in Tampa, where the Presidents Trophy winners’ season will be on the line.
The Lightning, who can advance to the third round for the third straight season and seventh time in the last 11 with one more win, have outscored the Panthers 11-3 in the first three games of the series.

When the Caps were doing so much better on the road than at home I joked that it was because on the road they just slept in their beds and thus had more energy on game day.
Maybe because it’s not a good idea to party until the wee hours the night before a game, especially when one more loss means you’ll be cleaning out your lockers in a couple of days.
Look, if the guys have a few days between games in the regular season, who would give a shit. But in the playoffs? No. Buckle down and focus on making sure you’re in tip-top shape to play.
