Russian media outlet Sport24 is reporting that Washington Capitals prospect Bogdan Trineyev will return to Dynamo Moscow next season on loan from the Capitals. Trineyev played all of last season for Dynamo, both at the KHL and MHL (juniors) levels.
On May 2 Trineyev signed his first NHL contract with the Capitals and the following day signed an amateur tryout agreement with the Hershey Bears. Trineyev then quickly made his way from Russia to Hershey in time for a few practices and made his AHL debut in the Bears must-win Game 2 of their first round series with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins on Sunday.

Trineyev was fairly impressive in his debut, considering the circumstances and the importance of the game, and held his own for the entire game. In addition, he was on the ice in the closing minutes of a 2-1 game, signifying trust from the Bears coaches, and did well on both ends of the ice to help seal the victory.

There was some question as to whether or not Trineyev, 20, would return to Hershey for the 2021-22 season.

That sucks, but it makes some sense. He hasn’t really made it to KHL level yet. He’s played games but hasn’t scored, spent most of his time in MJL. One more season to try and make Dynamos KHL squad.
