With their season on the line in a crucial Game 6 at home against the Florida Panthers, the Capitals needed their top players to find a way to come through. Right wing TJ Oshie did just that with just over one minute left in regulation.

With 1:01 left in regulation, and on a power play in the closing 61 seconds of what appeared to be the end of the Capitals’ season, a mad scramble in front of the net and an amazing display of hand-eye coordination by Anthony Mantha led to the Caps tying the Cats to send the team to overtime.

The goal marks Oshie’s sixth of the series, and his fifth in the last four games.

Oshie now has six goals and one assist in six games played. Mantha and Evgeny Kuznetsov were credited with the assists on the play.
