CONNOR MCDAVID: WHATEVER IT TAKES  – (Documentary) – follows the most physically and emotionally challenging offseason of Connor McDavid’s career. This documentary is the remarkable comeback story of one of the NHL’s best players after what could have been a career ending or altering injury. A world-class medical team led by Mark Lindsay, supervised McDavid’s gruelling rehabilitation program which combined advanced sport science and imaging techniques with Connor’s sheer will to overcome, allowing him to return to the Edmonton Oilers lineup for the 2019-20 home opener. FATHER OF HOCKEY, THE – (Documentary) – Captain James Sutherland was a hockey pioneer who believed Kingston, Ontario could be the ‘Cooperstown’ of hockey. What he unleashed was a battle over the origins of the game and where best to honour hockey’s greats. Eventually two “Halls of Fame” were established; one in the hockey metropolis of Toronto; the other in Kingston, Ontario. This is the Battle for Hockey’s Hall of Fame! (IMDB)

HOCKEY’S LOST BOY: THE RISE AND FALL OF GEORGE PATTERSON – (Documentary) – George Patterson scored the first goal for the Toronto Maple Leafs – launching a hockey empire. (IMDB)

HI, MY NAME IS DICKY – (Documentary) – film on the story of Rich Clune, uncovering his battle with substance use disorder while playing in the National Hockey League. (IMDB)

HUMBOLDT – (Documentary) The film documents the team following the tragic bus crash.

HUMBOLDT – THE NEW SEASON (Documentary) – television program about the aftermath of the 2018 bus crash that killed 16 members of Saskatchewan’s Humboldt Broncos junior hockey team and injured 13 more. It was directed by Kevin Eastwood and Lucas Frison and commissioned by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation for the CBC Docs POV television program.

ICE GUARDIANS – (Documentary) – On-ice enforcers struggle to rise through the professional ranks of the world’s most prestigious hockey league, only to be confronted with a new found fight for the existence of the role itself. (IMDB)

ICE KINGS – (Documentary) -The story of the hockey team at Mount St. Charles Academy in Woonsocket, Rhode Island, which, with twenty-six consecutive state championship victories, stands as the greatest high school sports program in history. (IMDB)

ICE WARRIORS: USA SLED HOCKEY – (Documentary) – The training is tough as the U.S. sled hockey team prepares for the 2014 Paralympic Winter Games in Sochi, Russia, in ICE WARRIORS. LOKOMOTIV HOCKEY TEAM DISASTER – (Documentary) – Contrary to popular belief, the famous Russian hockey team was not killed by a drunken crew. But could just one of the officers on deck with a medical deficiency have caused this disaster? Investigators dig deep. (IMDB)

MAKING COCO – THE GRANT FUHR STORY – (Documentary) – Grant Fuhr was the first black superstar in hockey. He won 403 regular season NHL games and is a member of the 2003 class of the Hockey Hall of Fame. Making Coco is the story of Fuhr’s life, on and off the ice. (IMDB)

In the tradition of the cult classic This is Spinal Tap, Puck Hogs is a hocku-mentary comedy about ice-prone boys turning into real-life men, and stick handling the puck over the goal line of life. PUNCHED OUT – THE LIFE AND DEATH OF A HOCKEY ENFORCER – (Documentary) – Its about the rise and fall of Derek “Boogeyman” Boogaard. His fight with drug abuse and his experiences as an enforcer and what led to his death. (IMDB)

ROOKIES, THE  – (Drama) – A 17-year old wants to be a professional hockey player and eventually lands a spot on the Canadian National team. (IMDB)

RED ARMY – (Documentary) – The story of the Soviet Union’s famed Red Army hockey team through the eyes of its players. (IMDB)

RED PENGUINS – (Documentary) – Red Penguins tells a story of capitalism and opportunism run amok – complete with gangsters, strippers and live bears serving beer on a hockey rink in Moscow. Shortly after the collapse of the Soviet Union, the Pittsburgh Penguins and the famed Red Army hockey team formed a joint-venture that showed anything was possible in the new Russia. (IMDB)

RUSSIAN FIVE, THE  – (Documentary) – In the late 1980s, the Detroit Red Wings worked to finally break their decades long Stanley Cup drought by extracting players from the Soviet Union, and in the process, changed the way North American hockey is played. (IMDB)

SLAP SHOT – (Drama) – 1977 American classic directed by George Roy Hill, written by Nancy Dowd and starring Paul Newman and Michael Ontkean. It depicts a minor league ice hockey team that resorts to violent play to gain popularity in a declining factory town. (IMDB)

TOOTH FAIRY – (Comedy) A bad deed on the part of a tough minor-league hockey player results in an unusual sentence: He must serve one week as a real-life tooth fairy. (IMDB)

TOUGH GUY – THE BOB PROBERT STORY – (Documentary) – Archival footage and personal testimonials present an intimate portrait of the life and career of legendary NHL tough guy Bob Probert. (IMDB)
