The Washington Capitals seemingly had everything go their way on St. Patrick’s Day in Columbus, as they downed the Blue Jackets, 7-2. The only blemish on the evening was a lower body injury to forward T.J. Oshie.

Oshie left after skating just 19 seconds of his 17th shift of the game, with 13:34 remaining in the third period. The winger logged an assist and went plus-2 in the game.

It’s been an injury-plagued season for Oshie, who has been sidelined with injuries four separate times this season. It’s unclear at this time if he’ll be able to play Friday night against the Hurricanes.

The Capitals will not hold a morning skate on Friday. He coach Peter Laviolette is scheduled to meet with the media prior to tomorrow night’s game in Raleigh, which is likely the soonest we will find out more about the severity of Oshie’s injury.

Oshie has 20 points in 28 appearances this season.
