He’s played just 20 games so far this season, but he’s certainly made the most of the games he’s played. Washington Capitals prospect Hendrix Lapierre appears to be making up for lost time since the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) restarted their season back on February 5. He added two more goals to his tally Tuesday night against Drumondville.
Hendrix Lapierre notched two more goals tonight. He has 14g, 19a in just 20 games played so far this season. He has 9g, 6a in just 9 games played since restart of QMJHL season on 2/5. #ALLCAPS pic.twitter.com/ryZJDydggk

Lapierre has been on a mission since he was cut from the Canadian Junior team for the second consecutive year back in December. Since returning from the selection camp he has recorded 12 goals and seven assists in just 11 games. That’s a robust 1.73 points per game.
The QMJHL was paused in December due to the COVID pandemic and didn’t restart until February 5th. Since the restart, less than a month ago, Lapierre has nine goals and six assists in just nine games played. That’s a scorching 1.67 points per game.
For the season Lapierre has 14 goals and 19 assists in just 20 games played. Again, scorching hot at 1.65 points per game.

I think that’s a good way to look at it. Maybe not generational talent, but we have solid players coming.
