The AHL’s Hershey Bears hosted their Teddy Bear Toss game as they clashed with the Hartford Wolf Pack. Fans were encouraged to throw teddy bears and other stuffed animals onto the ice following Hershey’s first goal of the game.

NoVa Caps’ photojournalist Joe Noyes captured the action from Giant Center Saturday night. You can follow all of his excellent work on his Instagram page or visit his website right here.

Left-wing Axel Jonsson-Fjallby scored and ensued the Teddy Bear Toss early in the first period on a power-play.

Thousands of stuffed animals, big and small, rained down onto the ice. The Bears set a new world record with 52,341 stuffed animals donated to local charity, surpassing the club’s previous world record of 45,765 collected in 2019.

Jonsson-Fjallby scored a hat trick in the 5-0 victory over Hartford.
