Capitals Recall Sgarbossa From Taxi Squad

The Washington Capitals announced on Tuesday that they have recalled center Michael Sgarbossa from the taxi squad.

The 29-year-old cleared waivers on December 29 to go to the taxi squad.

Sgarbossa has two goals and four points in 10 NHL games this season in addition to earning eight goals and 14 points in 15 AHL games.

The Capitals host the Winnipeg Jets on Tuesday night (7 PM ET, NBC Sports Washington in-market, ESPN+ out-of-market).
