Capitals Re-assign Brett Leason To Taxi Squad

The Washington Capitals announced on Sunday afternoon that they have moved forward Brett Leason to the team’s taxi squad. Leason was a healthy scratch in last night’s game against the Minnesota Wild.

It’s likely the move signals the potential return of Nicklas Backstrom and/or T.J. Oshie. We will know more at the teams morning skate on Monday.

Leason has three goals and three assists in 25 games played with the Capitals so far this season.

The Capitals next host the Boston Bruins Monday night at Capital One Arena. Puck drop is set for 7:00 PM.
