On the night his teammate with the American Hockey League’s Hershey Bears Zachary Fucale made NHL history with the Washington Capitals, Shane Gersich put up a strong performance of his own in a victory against the rival Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins.

Gersich, who entered the night off a two-goal contest against the Bridgeport Islanders (including the game-winner) on January 2, put up yet another two-spot against the Pens.

Gersich has now recorded six goals and three assists in his last seven games and has eight (8) goals and eight assists in 28 Games Played for Hershey this season. His previous AHL career highs were 10 goals (during the 2019-20 season) and eight assists (meaning he has matched his previous career-high in helpers).

In 181 Games Played with the Bears, Gersich has recorded 72 points (32 Goals, 40 Assists).
