Washington Capitals defenseman Nick Jensen has found a great deal of success this season, including strong possession metrics and adding his first goal at Capital One Arena. During the Capitals’ Tuesday night tilt against the Florida Panthers, Jensen continued to produce.
Jensen first picked up an assist on Connor McMichael’s first period goal, his sixth assist of the season.
Jensen then added a goal of his own at the 12:40 mark of the second period, six minutes after Lars Eller scored.

The goal marked Jensen’s third goal of the 2021-22 season and fifth as a member of the Capitals. In addition to his assist, it marked his 10th career multi-point game, and second this season.

Jensen now has nine points (three goals, six assists) in 23 Games Played this season. His career-high in Points came during the 2018-19 season, in which he recorded 20 between time with the Detroit Red Wings and the Caps. Heading into the team’s game against the Panthers, Jensen was tied for the league lead in Plus/Minus with Calgary Flames forward Elias Lindholm.
