Capitals’ Evgeny Kuznetsov Scores First Goal of the Season Against Avalanche, Picks Up Fourth Point in Three Games

Washington Capitals center Evgeny Kuznetsov scored his first goal of the season Tuesday night as the team clashed with the Colorado Avalanche at Capital One Arena.

At the 6:15 mark, Kuznetsov opened tonight’s scoring and gave the Capitals a 1-0 lead in the first period. Defenseman John Carlson assisted.

Kuznetsov also broke out the beloved bird celly:

This goal marked Kuznetsov’s first of the season and fourth point in three games (1g, 3a). Additionally, Carlson is ten assists away from passing Michal Pivonka for third on the Capitals’ franchise assists list.
