Capitals Announce Roster For Wednesday’s Preseason Game In Boston

The Washington Capitals announced their 23-man roster for Wednesday’s preseason game against the Boston Bruins at TD Garden (7 PM ET, NBC Sports Washington locally, NHL Network nationally), which includes 16 regulars from last season.

The only ones not participating include goaltender Ilya Samsonov and center Nicklas Backstrom, who are both currently injured.

Head coach Peter Laviolette told the media on Sunday that he will ice most of the Capitals’ regular lineup on Wednesday and the entire lineup expected to play against the New York Rangers on October 13 (opening night) in Friday’s preseason finale against the Philadelphia Flyers.
