Capitals Assign Three Forwards To AHL Hershey

The Washington Capitals announced on Sunday afternoon they have assigned three players to the AHL’s Hershey Bears.

Left-wing Axel Jonsson-Fjallby (who was put on waivers), right-wing Brett Leason, and left-wing Joe Snively were all cut from the team’s training camp roster.

The Bears open training camp this Monday and begin their three-game preseason schedule this Friday. They begin the regular season on Saturday, October 16.

The Capitals continue their preseason slate on Monday at the New Jersey Devils (7 PM ET, not televised) and will begin the regular season against the New York Rangers on Wednesday, October 13.
