Capitals Reduce Training Camp Roster To 49


The Washington Capitals announced Tuesday afternoon the re-assignment of five of their prospects from training camp to their junior teams. Garin Bjorklund, Haakon Hanelt, Martin Has, Bear Hughes and Dru Krebs have been re-assigned to their respective teams.

Garin Bjorklund and Dru Krebs will return to Medicine Hat in the WHL, Haakon Hanelt will return to Gatineau Olympique of the QMJHL, Martin Has will return to the Kitchener Rangers in the OHL and Bear Hughes will return to the Fargo Force in the USHL.

The transactions reduce the Capitals training camp roster to 49 players: 28 forwards, 16 defensemen and five goaltenders.
