Alex Ovechkin has celebrated his birthday in many different ways over the years. He celebrated his 21st birthday at RNR Bar and Lounge in Washington DC, celebrated at various local restaurants, including Mari Vanna, the Russian restaurant in Washington DC, and at Peking Gourmet, the Chinese restaurant in Bailey’s Crossroads, Virginia.
Last year Ovechkin celebrated with a huge party in Moscow, where Pittsburgh Penguins forward Evgeny Malkin was a guest. This year Ovechkin and friends celebrated his 36th birthday at Echostage, a club in located in northeast Washington, DC.

Ovechkin jumped on stage with The Lost Kings, an American DJ duo consisting of Robert Abisi and Nick Shanholtz, who are out of Los Angeles. The Lost Kings stopped their show to get the crowd to wish Ovechkin a happy birthday.

Ovechkin also returned later in The Lost Kings set to whoop it up with the duo one more time.
Earlier in the day, Ovechkin had a more private celebration with his wife, Nastya, and their two sons Sergei and Ilya, trainer Pavel and dog Blake. Sergei was even allowed to help blow out the candles on dad’s cake.
