Washington Capitals Complete Prospect Roster And Pre-Development Camp Assignments For 2021-22 Season

The Washington Capitals will begin 2021-22 preseason activities with a much-needed development camp for a majority of their prospects. The camp will begin on Saturday, September 18, and run thru the beginning of the Capitals main training camp, which begins on Wednesday, September 22.

For many of the prospects, it will be their first development camp with the Capitals because of last year’s cancellation due to COVID. Most of the players drafted in the 2020 and 2o21 draft have yet to make their way to MedStar Capitals Iceplex.

The following is a comprehensive listing of all Capitals prospects officially in the Capitals system. The list includes preliminary assignments for the upcoming season, current signing status and whether or not they are waivers-exempt during the upcoming season.

Preliminary assignments could be modified following camp and/or prior to the beginning of the 2021-22 season.

Not all prospects will be attending next week’s camp. The Capitals have yet to release the official roster and schedule, but that information is expected from the team in the next few days.
