The Slovak Ice Hockey Association has announced their roster for their upcoming Olympic qualifying games, which will take place in Bratislava, Slovakia next week. Capitals’ defensive prospect Martin Fehervary is slated to play for Slovakia in the qualifying games.
The Slovaks current roster for the qualification games:
The roster is without NHL stars, including Jaroslav Halak, Zdeno Chara, Andrej Sekera, Tomas Tatar, Erik Cernak and Richard Panik.
The Slovaks will play three games within the qualifying D-group, from Thursday August 26 to Sunday August 29. The first on Thursday at 7.15 pm against Austria and the following day at the same time against Poland. The final game will be played on Sunday at 5.30 pm against Belarus. Only the winner of the Bratislava tournament will advance to the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing.
