Gary Bettman Announces 2021-22 NHL Events; Vegas Will Host 2022 All-Star Weekend

Before Game 1 of the 2021 Stanley Cup Final started on Monday, NHL commissioner Gary Bettman held his annual Stanley Cup press conference, which included announcements of 2021-22 league events.

T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada will host the 2022 NHL All-Star Superskills Competition and All-Star Game.

The 2022 Winter Classic will feature the St. Louis Blues and Minnesota Wild at Target Field, home of the MLB’s Minnesota Twins, on January 1, the 14-year anniversary of the first Winter Classic. This will be both teams’ second outdoor game.

The 2022 NHL Stadium Series will include the Tampa Bay Lightning and Nashville Predators at Nissan Field, home of the NFL’s Tennessee Titans, on Saturday, February 26. This will be the Lightning’s first outdoor game and the Predators’ second.

The 2022 Heritage Classic will be in March. The opponents and exact date have yet to be determined.

    Appearently every other team gets to host the all star game three times for every time the Caps have.
