
The professional hockey academy of Alexander Ovechkin is planned to be built on the land of one of the largest sports clusters in Moscow.
The project will provide more than 500 thousand square meters of sports facilities for various purposes. Two large arenas will be built on the territory – a rugby stadium with an area of about 130 thousand square meters and a multifunctional sports center with an area of about 220 thousand square meters.
“In addition, there will be a big surf park, a water sports center with a plunge pool, the center of curling, ice arena Tatiana Navka and Professional Hockey Academy of Alexander Ovechkin with children’s schools, swimming pools, centers of physical training and rehabilitation” – said Andrey Bochkarev, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Urban Planning Policy and Construction.

It is also planned to build an athletics arena, an extreme sports center, a skate park, a trampoline center, a sports school and an early physical development center. Areas for outdoor sports will appear: several rowing bases, a volleyball, basketball and workout court, outdoor tennis and beach sports grounds.
