Lars Eller Participates In Capitals’ Morning Skate On Wednesday; Connor McMichael Makes Trip To Boston, Participates In Morning Skate

Capitals’ center Lars Eller was a participant in the team’s morning skate this morning at TD Garden in Boston. Eller left with a lower body injury in Game 2 on Monday and did not return.

Evgeny Kuznetsov, Ilya Samsonov and Capitals top prospect Connor McMichael also participated in morning skate. Forward T.J. Oshie and goaltender Vitek Vanecek did not participate in morning skate.

Eller’s status for tonight’s Game 3 is still uncertain. T.J. Oshie did not participate in morning skate. His status for tonight’s game is also unknown at this point.

Capitals head coach Peter Laviolette originally said on Tuesday that the Hershey call ups that were made on Tuesday would not be making the trip to Boston, however, it’s obvious those plans changed.

Eller left Game 2 midway through the second period and did not return.

Eller’s last shift of the game lasted just 11 seconds, and while it is unclear what the ailment might be, it appears as though Eller twisted his leg on a shot on net at the 9:26 mark of the second.

The Capitals and Bruins square-off in Game 3 of their best-of-seven series tonight at TD Garden in Boston. Puck drop is set for 6:30 PM.
