T.J. Oshie Skates Before Capitals Practice On Thursday

Washington Capitals forward T.J. Oshie returned to the ice prior to the team’s practice on Thursday. Oshie has been dealing with a lower body injury that he sustained last weekend.

Oshie participated in the team’s practice but wore a light-blue non-contact jersey. He left the ice after line rushes, as planned by the team.

John Carlson participated in practice on Thursday. He said he would be ready to go on Saturday.

Capitals Power Play:
PP1: Carlson, Ovechkin, Backstrom, Wilson, Mantha.
PP2: Orlov, Schultz, Eller, Sprong, Sheary.

Oshie was injured in a battle along the boards with Nicolas Aube-Kubel in the final seconds of the second period of Saturday night’s game against the Flyers. He did not return to the game.

Oshie has not practiced since the injury occurred and missed the Capitals season finale against the Bruins.

The Capitals and Bruins begin their best-of-seven first round series of the 2o21 NHL playoffs Saturday night at Capital One Arena. Puck drop is set for 7:15 PM on NBC.
