Sprong Has Sprung: Capitals’ Daniel Sprong Nets Fourth Goal in Three Games

Washington Capitals forward Daniel Sprong stayed hot during Thursday’s game against the Pittsburgh Penguins at Capital One Arena, scoring his eleventh goal of the season and fourth in his last three games.

Sprong gave the Capitals a 3-2 lead 15:07 into the middle frame. Defenseman Justin Schultz and Dmitry Orlov assisted.

This marked his fourth goal in the last three games for Sprong.

Schultz recorded the primary assist, which is his second primary assist of the night and his seventh multi-point game of the season. Orlov picked up his second point of the night (1g, 1a) and third multi-point game of the season.
