Alex Ovechkin (Lower Body) And T.J. Oshie (Personal Reasons) Miss Practice, Capitals Call-up Garrett Pilon, Mike Sgarbossa: News From Tuesday’s Capitals Practice

The Capitals returned to work on Tuesday, following a couple of days-off on Sunday and Monday. The team will practice again tomorrow before they begin their two game set with the New Jersey Devils on Thursday at Capital One Arena. Here’s the latest from MedStar Capitals Iceplex.

PRACTICE

T.J. Oshie and Alex Ovechkin did not participate in practice today. Oshie was out due to “personal reasons’ and Ovechkin did not skate due to lower body injury.

Laviolette said after practice that Ovechkin’s absence was more of a maintenance thing. He is listed as “day-to-day”.

The Capitals announced prior to practice that the team has re-assigned Mike Sgarbossa and Garrett Pilon from AHL Hershey to Capitals taxi squad.
