Despite not joining the Washington Capitals for their morning skate, center Lars Eller will play against the Philadelphia Flyers on Saturday (7 PM ET, NBC Sports Washington). The 31-year-old did not play in the Capitals’ 5-3 win at Wells Fargo Center on Thursday due to a family matter.

Center Brian Pinho covered for Eller at the morning skate. The team dressed seven defensemen on Thursday. Defenseman Jonas Siegenthaler came out of the lineup.

Eller has recorded five goals, 12 points, and a -2 rating in 21 games this season.
