Evgeny Kuznetsov, Ilya Samsonov And Justin Schultz Return To Skating At MedStar Capitals Iceplex

Washington Capitals center Evgeny Kuznetsov, goaltender Ilya Samsonov and defenseman Justin Schultz all skated at MedStar Capitals Iceplex on Monday prior to Capitals practice. Kuznetsov and Samsonov were both put on the NHL’s COVID-19-absences list on January 20. Schultz was injured with a puck to the face against the Islanders on January 28.

Coach Laviolette said in his Sunday presser that the two players have been cleared to begin workouts.

Juztin Schultz also returned to the ice this morning but was wearing a protective helmet/mask.

The three players also participated in Capitals practice at noon.
