Goal songs add a fun, personal touch when players score. Whether it’s their favorite tune, a song to get the crowd hyped up, or perhaps a song pun on their name, it adds to the excitement of the moment. The Washington Post‘s Samantha Pell gave us some insight into what four new Capitals players’ goal songs are.

Justin Schultz, Hell Yeah by Rev Theory

This song may be familiar to some of you. It played in the Capitals’ 2008-09 game intro.

Zdeno Chara, Breakout by Foo Fighters

Daniel Sprong, One by Swedish House Mafia

Conor Sheary, Sherry by Frankie Valli and The 4 Seasons

I personally love the song puns on players’ names.

Trevor van Riemsdyk, Born to Run by Bruce Springsteen

Let’s hope we hear these songs soon!
