The Washington Capitals have divided their 2021 training camp into two separate practice sessions each day. The morning session has primarily consisted of roster players and starters, while the afternoon session has basically acted as a development camp for prospects and depth players. (This year’s development camp, typically held in June, was cancelled due to COVID-19).
For many prospects this has been the first time they’ve been able to participate in Capitals team activities since June or September of 2019. For other prospects, like this years first round draft pick Hendrix Lapierre, it is their first ever visit to MedStar Capitals Iceplex.
NoVa Caps photojournalist Joe Noyes was on hand this Saturday to capture a few images from the prospect’s practice.
