Return of the Czech Mates: Jakub Vrana and Vitek Vanecek Return To DC for Capitals 2020-21 Season

With the announced start of the NHL Season rapidly approaching, Jakub Vrana and Vitek Vanacek left the Czech Republic enroute to Washington, DC. early Sunday morning.

Vrana and Vanecek were at the Prague airport, hockey gear in hand, getting ready for their return to Washington, DC in preparation for training camp for the 2020-21 season, when Jana Krizova, Vrana’s sister, took a picture of them both at the airport, with the caption “Good luck, guys!”

Jakub later posted a picture of himself on Instagram as he was at the airport, reporting he was taking off for the USA.

The prior day, Vrana celebrated an early Christmas with his sister, his nephew, and his mother.

His sister posted the caption, “Our early Christmas. Thank you for being here with us”.  She was clearly happy to celebrate with Jakub.

Merry Christmas and welcome back to Washington, DC.  Hockey is back!
