Washington Capitals captain Alex Ovechkin and his family attended the Dynamo Moscow game on Sunday. His wife, Nastya, shared the day’s adventures on social media that included a familiar face opening the scoring for Dynamo.

Ovechkin led his oldest son, Sergei, through Dynamo Sports Palace to their seats. Former Capitals forward Dmitrij Jaskin scored a goal, giving Dynamo a 1-0 lead. Jaskin would score another goal in the 4-3 victory over CSKA.

Alex and Sergei also took photos with the Dynamo Moscow mascot.

Following the game the Ovechkin family visited with Dynamo winger and former Washington Capital Dmitrij Jaskin. Jaskin gave Sergei a stick, which was quickly modified to fit Sergei’s game.

Last Tuesday, Ovechkin watched Dynamo’s morning workout and practice.

He also did some skating with the team on Thursday.
