Aliaksei Protas Fined For Contact With An Official In KHL Game

Washington Capitals forward prospect Aliaksei Protas was fined for contact with an official in Tuesday’s game against Vityaz. The KHL announced the ruling on Thursday morning.

The official statement from the KHL:

“On the basis of the submitted materials, it was decided to impose punishment on the forward of “Dynamo” Alexei Protas according to clause 1.33. Article 27 of the KHL Disciplinary Regulations (makes contact with an ice referee or uses physical force against an ice referee, pours water on an ice referee, swings at a referee with a stick), subject to a monetary fine.”

No other information regarding the incident or amount of the fine was provided by the KHL in their initial statement.
