The qualification round is in the books. Sixteen teams are now set to battle it out for the Stanley Cup in the two hub-city bubbles of Edmonton and Toronto.
According to OddsShark, two Western Conference teams, The Vegas Knights and the Colorado Avalanche, are the current favorites to win it all, while the Washington Capitals are seventh with odds of 11 to 1. They were 20 to 1 odds to start the season.
The Capitals are currently the second favorite from the Metropolitan Division behind the Philadelphia Flyers, but favored over the Carolina Hurricanes. The Capitals first round opponent, the New York Islanders, is currently set at 18 to 1 odds.
Odds for the Capitals-Islanders first round series has yet to be released.
