Washington Capitals forward Tom Wilson scored his first goal of the postseason and extended the Capitals’ lead 2-0 in the final round-robin game on Sunday against the Boston Bruins at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto.
Wilson went top shelf, scoring his first goal of the postseason and giving the Capitals a 2-0 lead 2:49 into the final frame. Ilya Kovalchuk, who earned his first playoff point as a Capital and his first playoff point since Game 4 of the 2012 Stanley Cup Final, and defenseman Michal Kempny assisted.
