The NBCSN telecast announced after Sunday’s final qualifying round game that Game 1 the first-round series between the Washington Capitals and New York Islanders will be at 3 PM ET and will be shown on NBCSN nationally.

The Capitals finished the round-robin tournament as the third seed in the Eastern Conference after defeating the Boston Bruins by a score of 2-1 in their final round-robin game on Sunday while the Islanders, the No. 7 seed, defeated the No. 10 seed Florida Panthers in four games.

The first round begins Tuesday with Game 1 of the first-round series between the No. 7 seed Columbus Blue Jackets and No. 2 Tampa Bay Lightning starting at 3 PM ET, the No. 6 Calgary Flames and No. 3 Dallas Stars at 4:30 PM ET, the No. 5 Carolina Hurricanes and No. 4 Boston Bruins at 8 PM ET, and the No. 8 Chicago Blackhawks and the No. 1 Vegas Golden Knights at 10:30 PM ET.
