Welcome to the world, Alexander Eller! Washington Capitals center Lars Eller and his wife Julie welcomed their second child and first boy, Alexander, on Saturday. The Ellers already have a daughter, Sofia, who is seven. Eller did arrive back in Toronto earlier and is in quarantine. Per NHL protocols, he must produce at least four consecutive negative tests over a four-day period upon his return to the team.
Eller took to his Instagram story and posted a countdown clock until the end of his quarantine.

It was announced in late-April that the Ellers would be expecting their second child in August. The 30-year-old Dane announced during training camp that he would leave the bubble to be with his wife.
On Wednesday, Eller left the Toronto bubble to return to Washington. Head coach Todd Reirden said on Friday that “family is first” regarding Eller staying in D.C. “I’ll have more of an update for you as soon as he arrives here and when we’re able to get him into a game.”
Congrats to the Eller family!!
