Welcome to the world, Alexander Eller! Washington Capitals center Lars Eller and his wife Julie welcomed their second child and first boy, Alexander, on Saturday. It was announced in late-April that the Ellers would be expecting their second child in August. The 30-year-old Dane announced during training camp that he would leave the bubble to be with his wife.

On Wednesday, Eller left the Toronto bubble to return to Washington. Head coach Todd Reirden said on Friday that “family is first” regarding Eller staying in D.C. “I’ll have more of an update for you as soon as he arrives here and when we’re able to get him into a game.”

Congrats to the Eller family!!
