NHL Releases Latest ‘Inside The Bubble’ Video Detailing COVID-19 Testing Protocols Required For All Bubble Inhabitants

On Thursday the NHL released the latest video in their ‘Inside The Bubble’ series. In the video, St. Louis Blues forward Robert Thomas demonstrates the COVID-19 testing protocol that every player must go through each and every day in order to take the ice.

Thomas walked through the three-step process, which includes digital temperature recordings via scanning, testing logging via a dedicated smartphone app and the actual COVID-19 test.

Earlier this week the league released their second video of the ‘Inside The Bubble’ series which showed the extensive cleaning and disinfecting processes that are undergone for each of the team benches in between every period and in the locker rooms before and after each game.

The NHL’s initial video of the ‘Inside The Bubble’ series provided an interesting walk-thru inside the bubble in Edmonton. Steve Mayer, NHL Senior Vice President and Chief Content officer walked the protected route from the Sutton Hotel to Rogers Place Arena.

The ‘Inside The Bubble’ video series has been very interesting and has gone a long way in illustrating the tremendous planning undergone by the league. It’s easy to see why the NHL has had the best test results of all sports leagues since the return to play.
